Matthew Walker

Matthew is an experienced recruiter with over 17 years in the talent acquisition space, working across agency, internal and RPO environments.

Originally from the UK, Matt spent eight years recruiting there before relocating to New Zealand to launch a manufacturing and operations division for The Page Group. Now based in Sydney, he’s spent the last eight years specialising in mid-to-senior operations and supply chain roles across the food, packaging, industrial and manufacturing sectors.

Matt’s strength lies in his ability to understand what clients truly need, and he takes pride in delivering long-term, value-driven hires. His recruitment style is engaged, thorough, and grounded in a solid track record of candidate tenure. He’s worked with both SMEs and multinationals, drawing on early-career experience in the automotive and aerospace industries across Europe.

Now Practice Lead at Miller Leith, Matt is excited to deepen our NSW presence and continue supporting high-performing businesses with top-tier talent.

Outside of work, you’ll find Matt keeping active in the gym, cheering on Nottingham Forest FC, planning his next travel adventure, or hanging out with his wife and their very chunky beagle, Beau.

What is important to you?
My family, friends, and being able to provide a good life for them.

What is something quirky about you?
I’m terrified of heights… but I skydived from 18,500 feet in New Zealand. As a nod to the country, I even learned their national anthem word for word.

The ability to genuinely impact people’s lives for the better.
