Kian Myers

Originally from England with Irish heritage, Kian brings 20 years of recruitment experience across the UK and Australia. Beginning his career in London in 2006, he specialised in recruiting interim finance executives for public sector and not-for-profit organisations.

After relocating to Australia in 2010, he initially established his career in Melbourne, managing a marketing recruitment business, before moving to Sydney in 2013 to focus on sales recruitment. Since then, he has led high-performing recruitment teams across Sales, Marketing, Communications, Digital, Business Support, Finance, HR, Supply Chain & Logistics, Manufacturing & Engineering, and Property & Facilities Management.

As Director – NSW & QLD at Miller Leith, he oversees specialist recruitment teams across both states, drawing on his extensive experience in FMCG, Manufacturing, Industrial and Technical sectors to drive business growth and strengthen client partnerships.

Alongside his leadership responsibilities, he remains actively involved in executive search, combining strategic business leadership with a hands-on approach to connecting organisations with exceptional talent.

What’s important to you?
My family; my wife Julie and two beautiful kids Emily & Lachlan – they are my purpose, providing me drive and motivation.

What is something quirky about you?
I am football (Soccer) mad. I still kick about on the O35’s Northern Beaches competition, coach the kids and am a life long sufferer of being a West Ham United fan.

What motivates you about the recruitment industry?
Externally: Building career stretching business partnerships. Supporting customers over the long term by providing premium service. Internally: guiding and supporting my people’s career progression and seeing them succeed.
