Erica O'Connor

Born and raised in lovely Ireland, Erica came to Australia in September 2022.

Since completing a Bachelor of Business in Marketing and Management at the Technological University of the Shannon, Erica started her career working within Finance, Sales, and Internal/Agency Recruitment.

Excited to pursue her career in recruitment in Australia, Erica joined Miller Leith as a Consultant in our Contracting and Compliance function. Specialising within the HR sector, Erica is looking forward to working on temporary and contract assignments for our partners and aligning great short opportunities with candidates’ career goals.

Outside of work, you will find Erica working up a sweat at CrossFit, exploring Melbourne or having a coffee at a cute café with her latest book.

What is important to you?
Dogs… Oh and my partner, my friends and my family.

What is something quirky about you?
I was a real tomboy in my early days. I used to do Kickboxing. My first fight was against a male way older than me and I won. I used to play rugby for my province back home for 3 years and most people tell me I don’t look like a rugby player.

What is it about the recruitment industry that motivates you?
It’s a very exciting job. Every day is different as you meet new people. You also can really make someone’s day by getting them their dream job and it’s an amazing feeling when you accomplish that.
