Miller Leith on the wall

Consultant - Supply Chain and Logistics

Born in Ireland, Kevin moved to the UK when he was young to where he grew up in Birmingham, but always keeping close to his Irish heritage.

At the University of Leeds, Kevin studied Biological Sciences, but soon realised that being in a lab wasn’t for him. He then moved into working in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically the Optical space, where he worked for many years.

Kevin and his partner moved to Australia in 2018. After plenty of travel and many amazing experiences, from jumping out of a plane above the Whitsundays to doing a ski season at Mount Buller, they have since settled in Melbourne and absolutely love it! As a massive sports fan, living in the sporting capital of the world just made sense.

Since joining Miller Leith, Kevin has kick-started his career in recruitment with a specialist focus within Supply Chain across FMCG, Retail, Industrial and Manufacturing industries.

What’s really important to you?
Adding value to people’s lives, while creating long-lasting relationships and sharing memories with those around me.

What is something quirky about you?
I am legally an amputee. You don’t realise how much you rely on the tip of your little finger until it’s gone! I am also a keen cook and have an amazing set of Japanese knives. The two are not connected…

What motivates you about the recruitment industry?
The opportunity to play a part in changing people’s lives and getting them one step closer to their dream career. The end to end process of creating and building relationships, then matching someone’s interests and skills to a role that will aid them to grow their career is something I find to be highly rewarding.

Your teammates would describe you as…
A bit of an odd-ball with a good sense of humour, and is always open to new experiences.
