National Manager - Supply Chain, Procurement & Merchandise

Born and raised in Ireland and currently living in the heart of Melbourne! After working for a year in New Zealand, Kate moved to Melbourne to join the leading specialist team at Miller Leith.

Kate started her career in recruitment as a graduate having just finished a BA Honours Degree in Business & Commerce, not knowing this career existed before joining her first agency! Years on and she now recruits in the Supply Chain & Procurement space and leads a team of consultants, who are hands down the most talented, hardworking, and all-round “good eggs” that she has ever had the chance to work with. Recruitment can be a challenging career, but Kate believes if you put in the hard yards, practice patience, take the time to learn your sector and strive to genuinely add value to the businesses and candidates you work with, it is an incredibly rewarding career.

Outside of work, Kate loves to pretend she has some wild and uniquely fascinating hobbies but that’s not the case! She loves to travel, her food and any activity that involves the great outdoors you can generally count her in. Recently, she has been adjusting to dog-mum life with the exciting arrival of her new pup Marge!

What is important to you?

Food. Family and friends come in close 2nd though.

What is something quirky about you?

I have an obsession with checking the weather, I’ve read the entire Harry Potter series 5 times and I can also recite the entire script of Mean Girls from start to finish.

What is it about the recruitment industry that motivates you?

I love to be busy and I think recruitment is one of the rare jobs that it’s impossible not to be busy! I’m a people person by nature so I love the fact that it allows me to meet people from all walks of life and build long standing relationships.
