Customer Service Officer (Contract)

The Company
Our client, a well-recognised name in the FMCG industry, is seeking to bring on a Customer Experience Ambassador to join their busy team. You will commence on an initial 6 week temp assignment with potential for extension. 

The team is very supportive and one that likes to develop their staff and promote within. You will join a brand with a respected name in the market and a loyal customer base. 

The Role
Based in the Oakleigh area, this role would see you working within a small team to answer inbound calls/emails and respond to customer queries, process orders and resolve any concerns or product returns. You will build relationships across all areas of the business to ensure customer satisfaction is at the forefront and all queries are resolved.
Key responsibilities:
  • Receive inbound calls and emails from customers in relation to products ( training will be provided )
  • Receive and process inbound warranty and online claims from all customers – both retail and consumers. 
  • Following procedure and keeping accurate records and maintaining files with the company database in their CMS systems.
  • Process online orders along with managing payments
  • Build rapport with customers; act to resolve any concerns and keep customers updated on the progress of their order(s)
  • Managing follow up as required.
  • Liaise with other areas of the business to advise of any product issues and/or delays in dispatching
  • Management of the database
Key skills required:

The successful candidate will have:
  • Prior experience in a customer service role working with clients via phone and email.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal as well as excellent phone manner
  • Strong systems knowledge including MS Office and CRMs 
  • Organisational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive and quick thinking required
  • Warehouse experience is advantageous
  • Strong customer service skills such as time management , efficiency, attention to detail along with the ability to multitask and prioritise important matters. 
  • Data entry experience.
