Demand Planner


The perfect role for an experienced Demand Planner who wants work with a fast-paced and growing Food distribution business.

The Company
We are working with a growing family business who are expanding both locally and internationally.  They have a unique product range and supply to all the major supermarkets along with some independent stores throughout Australia. They are based in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne at a newly renovated site.

The role
Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, this role will be responsible for managing and executing demand planning and processes for all categories and SKU's including demand reviews and contribution to S&OP. You will be the interface between the internal supply chain and the sales team and focus on providing accurate short, mid (6-12 weeks) and long-term (up to 2 years) demand forecasts and data. 
  
As Demand Planner, you will maintain excellent working relationships with the organisation's customers and work closely with their buying/replenishment teams to work through any issues that may occur with supply.
  
You will also be involved in purchasing activities. The purchasing process is relatively straightforward at this stage, however, this business mainly imports finished goods so there will be an element of complexity around planning logistics and lead times.


Skills & Experience
  • You will have a minimum of 3 years experience as a Demand Planner within a fast-paced FMCG/Food Manufacturing business and also have experience in Purchasing
  • You will have the ability to work in a relatively green-field and unstructured environment.
  • To suit organisational culture, you will be down to earth, confident, friendly and strong in character. 
  • Ideally, you will be tertiary, APICS or Oliver Wight qualified with strong analytical and presentation skills. 
  • You will have demonstrated proven stakeholder management skills at all levels, excellent Microsoft Excel skills and experience using ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamix.
