OHS Coordinator


Immediate start! Outstanding opportunity for a Safety Advisor to join a leading FMCG Food business. A key role in driving the safety strategies.

The Company

They have an immediate opportunity for an OHS Coordinator to join their team for a 12-month fixed term contract to assist in continued education and promotion of the safety-first culture instilled in the business and to drive the broader safety strategy and long-term Covid Management Plan.
  
The Role
Reporting to the Safety Manager this role promotes health and safety processes across the site and also holds a primary focus driving and executing their robust Covid Safety Plan. With a strong plan and technology already in place, your key responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring the Covid-safe plan is being followed for external visitors, contractors and suppliers (including associated documentation)
  • Ensure successful roll out of employee site access and return to office processes
  • Work closely with government advice to ensure any changes or updates are communicated and implemented as required
  • Work closely with the broader OHS team to implement the health and safety program that implements best practice
  • Conduct risk assessments, inductions, tool box talks and RTW plans as required  
Your Background
To join this exciting business and continue to grow your career you will have
  • Cert 4 and or Diploma in OHS
  • Professional experience within FMCG Food manufacturing environment
  • A natural people person with excellent written and verbal communication skills to build effective relationships
  • Intermediate or above Microsoft suite Computer literacy
  • Strong time management and organisation skills
  
What’s on Offer
This is an important role for the business and as such you will be engaged as an employee on a salary for the fixed term period. This role will pay between $80-$85K commensurate to your experience and capabilities. Based in the south-east suburbs of Melbourne it is in a convenient location and is a 5 day week full-time role.
