Supply Chain and Logistics Manager

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain and Logistics Manager to join a rapidly growing food production and distribution business.

The Company
We are working with a rapidly growing family business who are expanding both locally and internationally.  They have a unique product range and supply to all the major supermarkets along with some independent stores throughout Australia. They are based in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne at a newly renovated site.

The Role
You will be responsible for leading a multiskilled team across planning, warehousing and order processing/customer service. Your team will be responsible for creating accurate forecasts/demand plans, supplier forecasting, import planning, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, customer order processing and distribution planning and execution. 
The Supply Chain Manager will be critical in providing the wider organisation visibility into short, medium and long-term baseline, promotional and new product volumes and constraints using all operational, sales and marketing information available. You will be a key point of contact between the commercial (Sales and Marketing), procurement and all other operational areas of the business. This position will be empowered to drive the business supply strategy, create and lead the supply/purchasing and demand review processes and planning meetings.

Skills & Experience
  • You need to be an extremely hands-on role leader who is comfortable having direct control of planning, ordering and strategy. 
  • To suit organisational culture, you will be down to earth, confident, friendly and strong in character. 
  • Tertiary qualifications in APICS or Oliver Wight coupled with strong analytical and presentation skills. 
  • You will need to have proven success as a people leader and have significant experience leading the warehouse, demand planning, supply planning and customer service within the retail FMCG sector supplying imported products will be preferred. 
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and significant ERP system user experience is also a key requirement (SAP, JDE or Epicore).
