Our client is a Australian manufacturer of products for the Australian retail sector. Based in Melbourne, they have a long and proud history based on innovation and a strong customer focus. Over time, they have built a strong portfolio of clients across the retail sector. Their client base across the retail sector includes, Consumer Electrical, Appliances,Sporting Goods, Leisure and Camping. With a strong pipeline of new products , they are looking to expand their presence in the traditional retail and online retail sectors. 

The Role
The National Business Manager will be responsible for managing & growing existing strategic partnerships in the retail sector. As a lead in the sales function you will utilise your existing networks to grow sales across a range of products and services.

Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have come from a strategic sales background, selling into the retail sector.  They will demonstrate a deep understanding of the Australian retail landscape, possess strong analytical skills and have sound examples of their ability to negotiate with buyers to create a win-win outcome. With the rise of online and ecommerce you will also have an understanding of online retail and how it can be utilised to increase sales and brand awareness.  

In addition, they will:   
  • Demonstrated experience working with major retailers
  • Have a new business mindset
  • Have a track record of sales success 
  • Self-motivated and resilient 
  • Commercially sound with strong analytical skills
