Supply Planning Leader

A long standing Australian food manufacturer is on the lookout for a Supply Planning Manager to join their team in Mildura

The Company
This company has long been a leading food manufacturer supplying high quality products to retail, wholesale, foodservice and industrial markets. They have earned the reputation for producing products that are healthy, look great and are full of flavour.

The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring commercial requirements (forecast, demand, ad hoc orders) are communicated, collated and fed through to scheduling, purchasing and production in an accurate and timely manner. You will also complete the Master Schedule and long-term inventory plan based on future forecasts and capacity constraints in order to ensure ongoing supply to all customers is met. The major objective of this role will be to ensure high levels of raw material availability and ensure master and finite scheduling is completed in order to meet market demand with exceptional DIFOT levels. 

You will also be responsible for maintaining key operating relationships with production, sales, farm management/suppliers, quality assurance, NPD and Finance to ensure an uninterrupted supply of raw materials and finished goods across the entire Supply Chain at lowest cost. 

You will be required to perform long-term planning for the plant and assist in the management of day-to-day volatility including changing forecasts, customer orders and unexpected quality or supply issues.

The Supply Planning Leader will grow capability of the planning and purchasing teams through ongoing training and development. 

Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience across supply planning leadership in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This includes;
  • Raw material planning 
  • Logistics
  • Inventory management
  • Purchasing
  • Supplier management
  • Master scheduling
  • Finite scheduling 
You will have strong analytical power and experience across using excel, ERP and supporting systems. You will be detail oriented, have the ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders in a team environment.
