Exciting opportunity to lead a multi-skilled reliability team and function at this large and complex food manufacturing site.
This market leading Australian food manufacturer boast high quality products, leading brands and have earned a strong reputation as a true employer of choice. They are currently seeking a new reliability Manager to lead asset management, maintenance, automation, stores and project engineering at their largest site based in Eastern Victoria (Gippsland coast). The site itself continues to evolve and improve from both a people, culture and capability perspective with continued investment in recent years.
Leading a multi-skilled engineering team across multiple shifts at this 24/7 operating plant, the Reliability Manager and team will have a key mandate improve asset management, maintenance philosophies/processes/planning, and policies across the site in order to increase plant up time, reduce breakdown frequency, optimise asset lifespan, reduce risk, and build on the reliability-based culture. Your team will also play a major role in CAPEX project management and plant upgrades where required.
As Reliability Manager, you will mentor, educate, develop and lead the maintenance team and external departments in improving and/or implementing advanced maintenance methodologies including predictive and preventative maintenance planning/execution, Root Cause Analysis, 5Why, 5S, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), Quick Changeover and improve and/or create SOP’s for all maintenance and engineering processes across the site.
As a crucial member of the site leadership team, you will be responsible for the Reliability budget and be heavily focused on Safety and Quality. Experience in facilitating Continuous Improvement initiatives and expertise in Lean Manufacturing implementation (eg. 5s, Quick Changeover, Bottleneck Analysis, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, etc) would be beneficial as the business progresses along their Continuous improvement journey.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar
- 5+ years experience in successfully leading plant reliability, maintenance and projects within the fast-moving consumer goods food manufacturing sites
- Experience in utilisation of CMMS systems (MEX preferred)
- Strengths across leadership, influencing, continuous improvement
- Strong in character, hands-on, coaching and mentoring leaders that possess excellent relationship building/stakeholder management, communication and reporting skills
