This role forms a critical position supporting the overall development of and leadership of the category with even further opportunities for career advancement. 
  
The Role
Reporting to the Sales Director, The Head of Category will play an integral role ensuring that the Sales & Marketing teams are building insight & data-based strategies to execute with key customers. Working cross functionally and leading a team of 3, you will be a key leader in driving collaboration & stronger business outcomes that are delivered in an actionable way for our clients key partners. 

The Head of Category will be accountable for setting the overall business direction and strategy for the category across all major channels & brands. The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate an ability to use data, insights and analytics to better understand the customer and drive innovation. This includes keeping category growth drivers live & relevant within the business to help shape a clear business focus cross-functionally that can drive actionable outcomes with consumers. This person will embed behaviours & build a team of customer category & shopper marketing experts who play a key role in building lasting relationships across all customer partners. This will be evident in a style that coaches and develops the category team to ensure clarity of purpose and deliverables to business partners.
  
Skills & Experience
  • A proven leader with a strategic mindset geared for growth
  • Strong background in FMCG or Grocery
  • Thorough understanding of Category Management and Insights
  • Courageous leader who builds trusting partnerships and unlocks talent
  • A strategist and a collaborator, you will be someone who can be a thought leader and influence others. You will be able to manage multiple stakeholders to create engagement, challenge and work together to achieve common goals 
  • Demonstrated experience in a leading a portfolio and category strategy development and translate into activation
